Utah Window Tint offers many different styles and textures of Decorative Window Films. We will work with you to find out what you are trying to achieve and use our years of experience to help you transform plain glass wall into an elegant, eye catching glass wall that will offer privacy for those important board meetings.
Utah's window tinting laws are very simple.
1. The front 2 door windows must meter 43% or greater after film has been installed (+/- 3%)
2. Any darkness is allowed behind front doors.
3. 3rd brake light in back glass must be cut out, unless there has been a spoiler installed with a 3rd brake light in it.
4. Sunstrip must be at AS1 line or above. If no AS1 line is present, 4 inches is the default.
5. No mirrored or reflective film.
There are alot of variables in getting and doing a high quality tint job. Almost every call I take starts with," how much does it cost to tint my car, truck?" It is a very important question, I catch myself doing the same thing when I'm making a purchase. Most of us know though, the cheapest labor and or the cheapest products are never the best. We have an entry level tint ( Metallic Shade) that we can use to tint most cars for $169.00. It comes with a one year warranty... Will it last over that, of course, but in a few years it will begin to fail. If you spend another 30 dollars, you now get a lifetime warranty film ( 3M FX Premium) , covering bubbling, cracking and hazing. If you spend another 50 dollars, now you get a product (3M Color Stable) with lifetime warranty against bubbling, cracking, hazing and fading. I have tinted several personal and work vehicles with the 3M Color Stable. My oldest vehicle is an 08 and you can roll down the window a little and look at the glass that has been in the door frame for most of the time and it is the same color as the glass that has been exposed to 7 years of sun. If I would have gone with the entry level film, I would have had to remove and replace by now, for sure. To remove tint from a whole car costs $150.00 and then another $169.00 to re-apply entry level film. Now I'm into this tint job $488.00 dollars, or I could have spent $249.00 to begin with. I have had conversations with customers about their perception of the different products, warranties and costs. Some think, they are the same products going on every car and we just give a longer warranty when the price is right. Not true... These three products are very different and their warranties are put in place according to the core products they are made with. I will go over these differences in upcoming posts. Upgrades are definitely worth it, but if I only had $170 dollars to work with I would still get my car tinted. Cars and trucks are just cooler with tint.
